Privacy Policy

1. Overview

sent2gmail is a personal-use application operated by the account owner. It synchronizes copies of messages from email accounts owned by the user into that user's Gmail account.

2. Google User Data Accessed

sent2gmail may access Gmail message identifiers and metadata, Gmail thread identifiers, email headers needed to identify conversations, and information necessary to confirm that a synchronized message exists in Gmail.

Google user data is accessed only as necessary to provide the synchronization functionality.

3. External Email Data

sent2gmail reads messages from Sent mailboxes belonging to the user through IMAP.

The original MIME message may include message headers, text, HTML content, inline images, and attachments. This data is used only to create the corresponding copy in the user's Gmail account.

4. How Data Is Used

Data is used only to:

• detect sent messages;
• identify the correct Gmail conversation;
• prevent duplicate synchronization;
• insert sent messages into Gmail; and
• verify successful synchronization.

5. Data Storage

sent2gmail does not maintain a separate database of Gmail message contents. OAuth credentials and tokens are stored privately by the application operator and are used only to authenticate with Google services.

Runtime logs may contain technical information such as account labels, IMAP UIDs, Message-IDs, synchronization status, and Gmail thread identifiers. Logs are not intended to contain email bodies, attachments, passwords, OAuth access tokens, refresh tokens, or authorization headers.

6. Data Sharing

Google user data is not sold. Google user data is not shared with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.

Data is transmitted only between the user's email provider, Google Gmail services, and infrastructure operated for the sent2gmail application as necessary to provide synchronization.

7. Data Deletion and Retention

The user may stop sent2gmail at any time and revoke the application's Google account access through their Google Account settings.

Deleting a message from an external Sent mailbox does not cause sent2gmail to delete an already synchronized copy from Gmail. sent2gmail does not implement automatic deletion of Gmail messages.

8. Security

The application uses encrypted TLS connections when communicating with supported email servers and Google services. Credentials and OAuth tokens are intended to be stored privately and are not committed to public source repositories.

9. Personal Use

sent2gmail is currently operated as a personal-use application and is not offered as a public email hosting or email processing service.
